Covid Special Aid Programme
Bodhana as a helping hand for those affected by COVID
Thiruvalla Social Service Society: In connection with the golden jubilee of Bodhana, a financial assistance scheme of 10 lakh rupees for COVID patients and the distribution of medical kits were announced by Tiruvalla Metropolitan Archbishop Dr. Thomas Mar Koorilos. 5000 rupees in financial assistance and a medical kit from Caritas India were distributed to 200 selected families. In the said meeting, doctors of the “Covid Home Care” programme conducted jointly by Bodhana and Pushpagiri Medical College were honoured, and “Covid Samaritans” volunteers were felicitated.
Green Protocol Campaign
Bodhana in association with Kerala Social Service Forum inaugurated the Green Protocol Campaign, the programme was inaugurated by Dr. Thomas Mar Koorilos and the two day seminar was head by Dr. R Haridas from Caritas India. In turn with the United Nations decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021- 2030 and 5th anniversary of the Encyclical Laudato Si, KSSF introduced Ruby Jubilee eco-project Named as ‘Improved livelihoods of smallholder families in Kerala through promoting Climate Resilient Models’ [Nurture Project] with the support of CEI for two years. Tiruvalla Social Service Society BODHANA conducted 2 day workshop on Green Protocols in association with KSSF held on 16th and 17th September 2021 at Bodhana Jubilee Hall Tiruvalla. The ultimate aim of the seminar is to conduct an immediate Green audit in each diocese and minimize the quantity of waste generated. The method will be applicable to all the institutions, Hospitals and Households.
Edu Dreams’ Career Orientation Programme
Bodhana inaugurated a special career orientation seminar Edu Dreams for the selected 300 students in our operational area. The programme was inaugurated by honourable MLA Sri. Mathew T. Thomas. Rs. 23 lakhs is given to the students for their educational purpose. Through the Educational Assistance programme, Bodhana supports students every year. Through this programme, we aim at the integral growth of students. The main activities are career orientation, fund distribution, Value orientation programs etc.
Reliance Foundation Emergency Kit Distribution
During the emergency time of flood in association with Reliance Foundation Bodhana distributed to the emergency kit to the flood victims to provide them support. The beneficiaries were selected from Niranom, Peringara, Nedumprom and Kuttoor Panchayaths of Pathanamthitta District.
Covid Relief Activities- Food Kit Distribution
Covid special relief activities supported by Archdiocese of Toronto is inaugurated at Bodhana, Thiruvalla, by the kerala state best teacher award winner and the HM of ST. Thomas HSS Eruvellipra, Shri. Shaji Mathew Kooliyattu. Through this project 10 lakhs of Rupees spend on various covid relief activities and also Income Generation Programmes supported by Archdiocese of Toronto. It aimed to support the affected families to face the pandemic and also a support for their livelihood.

Golden Jubilee Closing ceremony
Thiruvalla Social Service Society celebrated the completion of 50 years of relentless service for the poor in the society on April 1, 2, and 3, 2022. The Head and Father of Malankara Catholic Church, H.B. Moron, Mar Baselios Cardinal Cleemis Archbishop Catholicos, inaugurated the ceremony. The Jubilee Closing Ceremony was a three-day programme, and it was the closure of jubilee charity activities that longed for one year.
Agricultural Seminar and Exhibition
Bodhana, as part of the Jubilee closing ceremony, organized a one-day Agricultural seminar and expo at Bodhana. The Kerala Government’s Honourable Minister of Irrigation, Shri Roshy Augustine, Inaugurated the seminar. Thiruvalla MLA Adv. Mathew T. Thomas appreciated farmers for their excellence in agriculture. Thiruvalla Archbishop H.G. Dr. Thomas Mar Koorilos, Nabard AGM Sri. Reji Varghese, and Kerala Social Service Forum Director Fr. Jacob Mavunkal were present for the seminar.
Medical Camp and Free Distribution of Spectacles
Under the joint auspices of Thiruvalla Social Service Society, Bodhana and Joy Alukkas Foundation organised a one-day free Medical Camp and distributed free spectacles to 100 needy people all around Tiruvalla.
