Drinking water is the greatest challenges being faced by the present generation, especially weaker sections of society. Ensuring the availability of freshwater to human beings is one of the important objectives of mankind. Bodhana has been working as the supporting agency of Jalanidhi Project of Kerala Govt. After the successful completion of the Jalanidhi projects at Panancherry panchayath, Thrissur and Konni panchayath, Pathanamthitta, Govt of Kerala selected Bodhana again as the supporting organization to implement the projects at Kadaplamattom, Kottayam District and Vathikudy Panchayath, Idukki District. Apart from that agency conducts awareness programmes, Training programmes etc for the people.

In waterlogged regions like Upper Kuttanadu, Human excreta have been a major factor contaminating the environment. The continuous overflow of toilets makes the water sources polluted forever and giving birth to epidemics. The organization has developed models of Compost Eco San Toilets to reduce the misery of the people. The toilets not only ensure a hygienic environment but also enhance the opportunity for a greener habitat. The pits of the toilet are made watertight with cement sealing.

Housing is one of the key manifestations of dignified human life, which enhances positive self-image and self-identify of the individuals in a family. We aim at providing quality cost-effective and eco-friendly housing to citizens especially to the vulnerable groups and the poor. Over the past years, Bodhana has constructed more than 500 houses for the poor and homeless people living in our operational area.
